Job Summary
Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner while communicating status updates to ensure satisfaction. Perform general repairs on apartments and common areas, handle emergency fixes, and manage vacant apartment preparation. Maintain accurate records for preventive maintenance, expenditures, and work in progress, ensuring all make-ready services complete on schedule. Rake, sweep, and salt property grounds as needed, change locks and keys, and accept deliveries. Keep the physical property safe by immediately correcting unsafe conditions and adhering to OSHA guidelines. This part-time role offers 10-12 hours per week with flexible scheduling at The Grove Apartments in Rochelle, IL. Candidates must bring their own tools and have transportation to vendors.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent maintenance-related fieldwork
- Ability to interact professionally and efficiently with prospects, residents, staff, and management
- Hands-on experience within basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems
- Hands-on experience within swimming pools, landscaping, and cleaning
- Applicants must furnish their own tools
- Must have transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors
- Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
