Job Summary
Part Time Maintenance Technician I on Night Shift (7:00pm–7:00am, Saturday & Sunday) based in Pueblo, Colorado. Responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions per diagrams and manuals, fabricating repair parts, following maintenance schedules and documenting activities, conducting routine inspections, lubrication, calibration, repairing electrical components and motors, troubleshooting mechanical systems, hydraulic maintenance, supporting preventive maintenance on boiler, chiller and compressor, performing fabrication and welding, responding to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime, performing tool changes, working in a team with minimal supervision, exercising judgment within guidelines, and inspecting safety devices (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting). Also includes adhering to plant safety rules and completing related training and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent
- A technical certification or degree in maintenance or a related field is a plus
- Certification in Maintenance Management, OSHA, or DOT HAZMAT certification is preferred
- 3 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with installation of machinery and equipment as well as disassembly
- Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
- Availability for emergency on-call duties, if required
- Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred
