Job Summary
Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventative maintenance on appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC. Conduct daily inspections of grounds, common areas, and vacant units to remove debris, remove snow/ice, and ensure turnovers are completed. Assist in training entry-level technicians, oversee subcontracted service providers, and maintain inventory while documenting work and responding to maintenance requests. Available for 24-hour emergency calls, weekends as needed, and daytime Monday through Friday shifts. Requires own tools, valid driver's license, and Fair Housing Certificate.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own tools
- Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property
- Required to be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled
- Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts
- Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
- Fair Housing Certificate required
- A valid drivers license required
- Two (2) years maintenance experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- A clean background check is required for hire
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred
- Previous multifamily experience preferred
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
