Part-Time Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventative maintenance on appliances, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Conduct daily inspections of grounds, common areas, and vacant units; remove snow, ice, and debris while winterizing facilities to prevent freeze damage. Assist in training entry-level technicians, inspect subcontracted providers, and handle administrative duties including recording maintenance requests and inventory management. Available for 24-hour emergency calls on weekdays, weekends, and as needed. Requires two years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and a Fair Housing Certificate.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own tools
- Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property
- Required to be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled
- Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts
- Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
- A valid drivers license required
- Fair Housing Certificate required
- Two (2) years maintenance experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- A clean background check is required for hire
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred
- Previous multifamily experience preferred
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
