Part-Time Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Complete assigned work orders from resident requests, diagnose defects, and perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry. Execute preventative maintenance and the "make-ready" process for vacant units by creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting completed work. Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure-washing, and painting signage while supporting cost-control programs. Report mechanical malfunctions, safety incidents, and regulatory violations immediately to management. Attend routine safety meetings and complete required OSHA training. Work independently or as part of a team, potentially traveling to sister communities for support. Report to work during inclement weather with frequent standing and walking.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience
- Hands-on maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
- EPA Type II or Universal certification
- CPO
- Availability to be on-call to address any emergencies
- Reliable Transportation
- A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop your skills
- Superior customer service and verbal communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail
- Must possess a strong sense for creating a sense of community
