Part-Time Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for the general appearance and maintenance of the property and ensuring efficient daily operation. Skills include working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, preventative maintenance, appliances, locks/access systems, landscaping including snow removal, and curb appeal. Diagnose problems, refer to building codes and manuals, enforce safety practices, maintain life-safety equipment per codes, perform regular inspections, coordinate unit turns with the Property Manager, assist with capital-improvement projects and bidding, collaborate with vendors/contractors, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws. On-call for after-hours emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- One to three years of related experience in maintenance required
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- EPA Universal, CAMT preferred
- LIHTC/ Affordable housing knowledge preferred
- Valid drivers’ license, ability to drive and insurance required, as applicable
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Be on-call as scheduled by management for after hour emergencies
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 70 pounds regularly, more on occasion
- Ability to work safely in high places
- Experience with computers and/or tablets with the ability to utilize email is required
- Previous experience with Microsoft suite, Computerized Maintenance Management Software, and HVAC controls is preferred
