Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms, including plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, switches, outlets, and minor drywall, painting, and carpentry work. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff while inspecting rooms, hallways, and public areas for issues. Assist with preventative maintenance of equipment, organize tools and supplies, and report major repairs or safety hazards to management. Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with guests and staff while following all safety procedures. This role requires one year of experience in maintenance or handyman work and the ability to work a flexible part-time schedule of approximately 15–25 hours per week, including weekends or holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in maintenance, hotel, apartment, building, or handyman work
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
- The ability to troubleshoot problems and determine when professional assistance is needed
- Proficiency in using common hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- The physical ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform maintenance tasks
- Willingness to work a flexible part-time schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience
- Certifications or trade training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance
- Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies when scheduled
