Part-Time Liturgy Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate weekend and daily liturgies, including Masses, sacraments, and special celebrations, by preparing clergy binders, arranging church and sacristy, and scheduling liturgical ministers through Ministry Scheduler Pro. Manage logistical preparations for weddings, funerals, and Holy Days, meeting with families, coordinating deacons and altar servers, and assisting with rehearsals. Oversee church environment and supplies by purchasing liturgical items within budget, maintaining inventories, and ensuring worship spaces remain organized. Provide afternoon office coverage for the Director of Music & Liturgy during the school year, attend planning meetings, and collaborate with clergy and ministry coordinators to support parish operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with liturgical planning and guidelines
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period
- Required to work some nights and weekends
- Required to manage high to moderate levels of stress
- Will be required to adhere to established dress codes and conduct standards
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
- Knowledge of liturgical guidelines and music in Catholic worship
- Knowledge of musical instruments and hymns used in liturgical settings
- Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
