Job Summary
Deliver exceptional client experiences by guiding customers through frame and lens selection, performing precise measurements and fittings, and troubleshooting prescription issues. Cultivate long-term relationships through personalized service, follow-up, and acting as a liaison with optometrists while adhering to strict privacy laws. Manage inventory, maintain visual presentation standards, and train team members to elevate performance. Stay informed on optical innovations and product trends to drive engagement and sales. This part-time role offers weekly pay, paid training, and drive time reimbursement, with a salary range of $32–$40/hour plus bonus potential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have an active American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification
- Ability to produce and display credentials in a conspicuous location on site
- 2+ years of sales experience in luxury retail or premium service environments
- Strong knowledge of optical theory, practices, and latest technologies
- Proven ability to build and maintain a loyal client base
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence
- Results-driven with strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- Proficiency with digital tools and retail systems
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation
- Candidates should be able to work comfortably with a variety of lighting conditions, including occasional flashing or contrasting light patterns
