Job Summary
Part-Time Lecturers (PTLs) will be hired to teach face-to-face undergraduate courses in various areas of accounting including introductory, intermediate, and advanced accounting, as well as audit and assurance services, and taxation. Applicants must hold a relevant advanced degree in accounting or law and possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in a related field. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering course content while ensuring positive evaluations for future online teaching opportunities. Candidates are expected to submit a comprehensive application package including CV, letter of interest, proof of licensure, and references.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting or bachelor’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in accounting or bachelor’s degree in accounting with CPA certification (for individuals certified prior to the 150-hour rule) or Juris Doctor (JD) for commercial law and tax courses.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in a field related to the course taught.
- Active state bar membership for commercial law (CLAW) courses; LL.M. in taxation sufficient for tax courses.
Desired Qualifications
- Active CPA or other relevant accounting certification (e.g., CIA, CISA, CFE, ABV) for accounting courses.
