Job Summary
Instruct weekly sections on integrated ESL and academic acculturation strategies for international graduate students, covering reading and writing for graduate school, English prosody, and academic etiquette. Deliver course content across 7- or 15-week terms with in-person meetings once per week. Maintain valid work authorization in the United States without visa sponsorship. Submit a cover letter and vitae detailing expertise in teaching global student populations.
Required Qualifications
- at least three years teaching international students at the post-secondary level
- graduate degree in a related field (e.g., TESOL, applied linguistics, or English)
- instructors of Canadian sections must have a doctoral degree
- Strong communication skills
- technical skills
- valid work authorization in the United States throughout the entire appointment without Northeastern University's sponsorship for a visa
- Boston-based courses meet in-person once per week
