Job Summary
Part-time Leasing Consultant at The District on 5th in Tucson, AZ. Responsible for marketing apartments, handling corporate level and resident interactions, processing applications (including credit/income verifications and background checks), completing lease paperwork, ensuring move-in readiness, and managing lease renewals. Daily duties include leasing prospects, maintaining lead cards, following up with inquiries, conducting outside marketing, conducting audits of lease files, and staying informed about competitor rates. Requires strong customer service, sales, and negotiation skills, ability to read lease documents, and effective communication and organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Professional and enthusiastic demeanor resulting from sales, leasing, marketing, and customer service experience.
- Able to demonstrate a positive attitude and to enthusiastically and effectively communicate the benefits of the apartment community to prospective students, their parents, and University personnel.
- Excellent customer service, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Able to read and understand lease documents.
- Able to be an effective team player and interact well with others.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Patient, even-tempered and works well under pressure.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, legal correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to compute rate, ratio, percentage, discounts, and pro-rations.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge in Entrata preferred.
