Job Summary
Lead age-appropriate curriculum and plan engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Monitor student progress, document development, and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day while managing classroom behavior and implementing discipline strategies. This part-time role requires MSDE School Age clock hour certification, high school diploma, and strong communication skills for interacting with parents and staff. Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma
- MSDE School Age clock hour certification REQUIRED
- Classroom Experience working with children in a classroom setting, often through student teaching or internships
- Classroom Management Skills includes proficiency in managing classroom behavior, creating a positive learning environment, and implementing discipline strategies
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role
