Job Summary
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, plan engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assess and document student progress. Lead innovative learning activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times. Monitor children's progress and create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day. This part-time role requires MSDE School Age clock hour certification, a high school diploma, and proficiency in classroom management and discipline strategies. Candidates must possess strong communication skills for interacting with parents and staff, along with patience, collaboration, and creativity. Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma
- MSDE School Age clock hour certification REQUIRED
- Classroom Experience working with children in a classroom setting, often through student teaching or internships
- Classroom Management Skills includes proficiency in managing classroom behavior, creating a positive learning environment, and implementing discipline strategies
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role
