Job Summary
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, plan engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assess student progress. Lead innovative learning activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times. Monitor children's development and document their progress, creating a harmonious environment for students and staff. Manage classroom behavior and implement discipline strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. This part-time role requires MSDE School Age clock hour certification, a high school diploma, and proficiency in classroom management. Competitive pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with childcare tuition discounts and relocation options available.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma
- MSDE School Age clock hour certification REQUIRED
- Classroom Experience working with children in a classroom setting, often through student teaching or internships
- Classroom Management Skills includes proficiency in managing classroom behavior, creating a positive learning environment, and implementing discipline strategies
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role
