Job Summary
Lead Teacher for a school-aged afterschool program. Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities, foster a love of learning, observe and assess children's development, manage a safe and inclusive classroom, maintain open communication with parents (including parent-teacher conferences), and ensure health and safety guidelines are followed. Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues. Requires an associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or CDA) and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Role is part-time (2:00pm–6:30pm) with potential for full-time hours; lift up to 50 lbs; located in Austell, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 1-2 years of previous experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool
- completed state-required pre-service training
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
