Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of children and families to identify developmental needs and strengths. Collaborate with medical professionals, educators, and team members to develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans (ISPs) addressing social, emotional, and behavioral goals. Provide individual and family counseling, crisis intervention, and support group facilitation for parents and caregivers dealing with acute stressors or developmental disabilities. Serve as a key contact for families, assisting them in navigating the early intervention system and connecting them with community resources, schools, and healthcare providers. Document all interactions and services in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements while advocating for the rights of children and families. Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and agency-wide training sessions, and provide consultation to staff on psychosocial strategies. Maintain relationships with community organizations to enhance support networks and stay current with best practices through continuing education.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in pediatrics, particularly working with children with autism
  • Knowledge of community resources that support families and children with developmental disabilities
