Job Summary
Load and unload aggregates and materials from barges to trucks using equipment such as Skid Steer Loaders and Front-End Loaders. Perform general labor duties including shoveling and sweeping, while conducting routine equipment inspections and requesting necessary repairs. Consult personnel on machine specifications and safety procedures to ensure efficient site operations, and communicate site activities as required. Effectively complete unloading tasks and other assigned duties while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have and maintain a valid/current Drivers license
- Must have dependable transportation to designated TRS locations
- Must be able to work various hours/holidays/weekends
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Must be COACHABLE
- Working knowledge of operating machinery
- Knowledge of unloading/loading procedures and techniques
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively to subordinates
- Ability to complete safety awareness training and lead by example
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them
- One to two years of related experience
