Job Summary
Part-Time IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support for faculty, staff, and students at TMSA campuses. Responsibilities include first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues; diagnosing and resolving problems with devices (Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, printers, projectors, interactive boards); deploying new devices; performing maintenance and antivirus management; managing device inventory; assisting with network connectivity, Wi‐Fi troubleshooting, and AV setup; supporting teachers with educational technology tools (Google Workspace, Schoology, SMART Boards); ensuring security and compliance with FERPA/COPPA; and assisting with cybersecurity and physical security of technology assets. Skills include strong OS knowledge (Windows, ChromeOS, iOS/Android), networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi‐Fi), clear communication to non-technical users, organization, independence, and data confidentiality. Schedule is on-campus with occasional lifting up to 40 lbs; some flexibility during school-year periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s degree or vocational certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Relevant industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Certificate, or equivalent) are a plus
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related technical role
- Experience with Chromebooks, Google Workspace for Education, and Windows environments preferred
