Part Time Intervention Specialist

Job Summary
Provide academic intervention and/or enrichment programs for students. Be a professional resource to school staff and HCESC colleagues. Uphold and enforce federal, state, and local guidelines in the education of students with educational disabilities. Maintain all required paperwork relating to the academic and behavioral instruction, supports, and services for all assigned students, including MFEs, IEPs, ISPs, FBAs, and related progress reports. Prepare unit and lesson plans with learning goals, pre- and post-assessment strategies, and differentiation. Design, implement, and evaluate programs reflecting research-based instructional practices. Organize a conducive classroom, model best practices, and assess student performance using formal and informal measures, differentiating instruction and monitoring progress. Communicate effectively with administration, teachers, parents, and colleagues; demonstrate instructional leadership; adhere to HCESC policies and deadlines. Collaborate to determine program outcomes and eligibility; maintain documentation of student progress and program effectiveness; promote positive relations with the school and community; participate in ongoing professional growth. Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid license and/or endorsement in the main content area taught and for the grade level(s) of job availability (Ohio K-12 Intervention Specialist licensure required)
- Minimum of three years teaching experience preferred
- Travel to various locations as the assignment requires
