Part-Time Intermediate Math & English Teacher

Job Summary
Teach up to three students simultaneously in interactive sessions covering math and English, utilizing pre-planned lessons and Oxford Learning methodologies. Deliver instruction both online and in-person while maintaining daily student communication updates and post-lesson notes. Guide learners through Grade 9 to 12 curriculum to build confidence and academic skills. Work evenings Monday through Thursday (4:00pm–8:00pm) and Saturday mornings (10:00am–2:00pm) as an Interactive Coach. Applicants must reside near Mississauga, undergo vulnerable sector screening, and hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
- Good knowledge of the current Grade 9 to Grade 12 curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Grade 9 to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Must be able to commute to this location
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory
- Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Mississauga area
- Must be available for either Day 1: Mon/Wed or Day 2: Tue/Thurs shift
- Must be available for Saturday mornings (10:00am - 2:00pm)
- Must be available for evenings (4pm - 8pm) Mon-Thur
- A commitment until the end of the term in June 2027 is preferred
- Continuing through the summer is even better
- Being reliable is a must
