Job Summary
Part-time faculty responsible for classroom assignments, student evaluation, curriculum development, and student advising within the Communication Studies department. Ideal candidates possess advanced degrees in relevant fields and coaching experience in speech and debate events. Instructor duties include supporting the Speech and Debate team, requiring travel to tournaments and judging responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in speech, speech broadcasting telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication, or organizational communication
- Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in drama/theater arts, mass communication, or English
- Equivalent qualifications if applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience coaching a variety of speaking events
- Ability to travel with the team to tournaments
- Participate as a competition judge
