Job Summary
Teach English Composition (ENG 100, 101, 102), Technical Writing (ENG 107), or other designated courses. Assist students outside class time, collaborate with faculty on course development and textbook selection, and participate in department and college-wide committees. Maintain membership in relevant committees and engage in special projects such as Summer Bridge Programs. Keep up with mandatory trainings and professional development. Applications are considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability, with no guaranteed minimum course load or future employment. Salary is $925.00 per lecture credit hour.

- Master's Degree in English
- Master's degree in Linguistics
- Master's degree in Creative Writing
- Master's degree in Literature
- Master's degree in Rhetoric and Composition
- Master's degree in Technical Writing
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field in Linguistics
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field in Creative Writing
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field in Literature
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field in Rhetoric and Composition
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field in Technical Writing
- Experience teaching English at the secondary or post-secondary level
- Experience working with a diverse community
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications

- Two years full time teaching experience at a community college or university
