Part Time Instructor - Adult Ed

Job Summary
Conduct adult education instruction in reading, math, and language while delivering individualized, small group, and whole class sessions. Assess student educational levels using TABE Locator and Form 9 or 10, administer screenings, and collaborate on Individualized Educational Plans to set long and short-term goals. Manage student enrollment paperwork, maintain accurate attendance records, and create detailed lesson plans in coordination with other instructors. Provide accommodations for special needs, utilize computer-aided instruction software such as WorkKeys and PLATO, and conduct follow-ups for exited students. Maintain a clean classroom environment, organize instructional files, and complete weekly progress reports. Work Tuesday through Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM with flexible day or evening shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current Arkansas teaching certification
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of adult learning theories
- Strong Computer Skills
- Highly Self-Motivated
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting
