Job Summary

Conduct pre-treatment assessments, insert peripheral intravenous lines, and administer IV, SC, and IM medications while monitoring patients before, during, and following therapy. Manage biologic and oncology medication handling per Health Canada guidelines, maintain clinic inventory and infection control standards, and document patient records and adverse events. Liaise with physicians, pharmacies, and providers to coordinate care and educate patients on disease management and self-injection techniques. Ensure compliance with provincial College of Nurses guidelines and company policies while reporting treatment disruptions and safety incidents. Work Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4 pm across Newmarket, North York, and Junction clinics.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of infusion nursing experience
  • Registered Nurse
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • CPR and First-Aid certification
  • Maintain yearly membership with provincial College of Registered Nurses, in good standing
  • Expert IV insertion skills
  • Able to confidently deliver patient education including but not limited to patient self-injection education and medication teaching
  • Ability to confidently administer medications via IV, IM and/or SC
  • Comfort executing medical directives and managing infusion related reactions
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Desired Qualifications

  • Critical Care, Emergency, Oncology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Gastro, Hepatology and/or pediatric experience
  • ACLS, CVAA, CON(C), PALS certificate
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Passionate at supporting patient care and removing barriers to care
  • Ability to work autonomously and proficiently, as part of a larger remote team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills: ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible with patient and HCP requirements
