Job Summary
Part-Time Information Technology Trainer for Older Adults provides hybrid in-person and virtual technology instruction to adults aged 60+. Delivering OATS curriculum, creating a supportive learning environment, guiding participants in digital tasks (email, social media, online banking, etc.), and collaborating with site staff. Responsibilities include teaching both virtual and in-person classes, offering personalized caller support, making outbound calls, promoting OATS culture, coordinating with staff, submitting paperwork, collecting surveys, data entry into Salesforce, participating in trainer meetings, and recruiting participants as needed. Key skills include strong spoken communication, ability to explain technical concepts to diverse seniors, proficiency with Windows and iOS, comfort with social media tools, travel to senior/community centers, teamwork, reliability, time management, patience, flexibility, and humor. Minimum 1 year professional experience required. This role involves both instructional delivery and program support across on-site and remote settings, with a focus on accessibility and social impact through OATS and Senior Planet programs.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent speaking and communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English, English and Mandarin OR English and Spanish
- Experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors, preferable
- Proficiency with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices
- Comfortable traveling to various senior/community centers as needed, when/if safe to do so
- Ability to work independently and as part of a training team
- Superior time-management skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional work setting
