Job Summary
Prepare lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction for evening 5-week HVAC classes while maintaining daily lesson plans and monitoring student attendance. Grade assignments, return work to students, and provide educational assistance during office hours or by appointment. Monitor equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities, secure consumables from the administrative office, and ensure students follow catalog guidelines daily. Substitute in classes when necessary, advise students on school policies and performance, and serve on committees such as curriculum development or retention. Maintain professional expertise by attending educational seminars and reading current literature to meet accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years field experience in HVAC
- High school or equivalent education
- Ability to work evenings, 5 hour shifts, 2 times a week for 5 weeks at a time
- Part time status
- In person work location
