Job Summary
Part-Time Housing Coordinator provides peer support and trauma-informed guidance to housing participants, assists with budgeting, rental applications, and housing options, educates participants on agency operations and housing guidelines (OMH/MRT/HUD), maintains records, and participates in SPOA and HUD Continuum of Care activities to promote recovery and self-determination. The role emphasizes lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges and builds connections with community resources to support independent, self-directed living for participants.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalency.
- Personal lived experience with mental illness or substance abuse.
- Clean and valid driver’s license.
- Must work towards or possess: New York State Certified Peer Specialist must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP).
- All other training assigned to staff must be done in a timely manner.
