Job Summary
Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim while sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing metalwork in hospital facilities. Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, and door panels; empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal areas. Replenishes bathroom supplies and moves small equipment between departments. Works 2nd shift at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, MS, earning $14.74 hourly with every other weekend and holiday off. Requires full COVID-19 vaccination, high school diploma, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to handle, finger, feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk or hear
- Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test
