Part-Time High School Math Teacher

Job Summary
Teach up to three students simultaneously in interactive sessions covering Grades 9-12 math topics including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. Deliver lessons in-person at the North York location following proprietary Oxford Learning methodologies, with no pre-class lesson planning required. Complete daily student communication updates and post-lesson notes while maintaining a professional, encouraging demeanor to build student confidence. Work evenings Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 4:00pm to 8:00pm or 10:00am to 3:00pm, with a preferred commitment through June 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Must be able to commute to this location
- This is not an online position
- Relocation packages are not available
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory
- Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the North York area
