Job Summary
Teach up to three students simultaneously in Grades 8 to 12 math and science, following Oxford Learning methodologies while filling post-lesson notes and completing daily communication updates. Work directly with students as an Interactive Coach to build their self-confidence and academic skills during after-school hours from 3pm to 8pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. This in-person role requires commuting to the South Surrey location and includes mandatory vulnerable sector screening. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree or similar certification and possess strong math and English communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Vulnerable sector screening
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 8 to 12 math including Pre Calc 11 and 12, Physics and Chemistry
- Experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 8 to 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Must be able to commute to this location
- Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the South Surrey area
