Job Summary
Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support while preparing meals and offering medication reminders. Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization alongside providing companionship and emotional support. Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as needed, observing and reporting any changes in client condition to the care team. Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols strictly while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Shifts include 2-hour blocks in AM and PM at Pepper Pike, or extended days from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM across North Ridgeville on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Premium pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour with weekly payments. Candidates must hold a high school diploma, CPR certification, and valid driver's license, with HHA or CNA training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently while following client care plans
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training
