Job Summary
Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds while providing SMART customer service by seeking out customer needs and assisting with merchandise selection. Coach and train associates on departmental duties, verify price matches, and manage cash counts, drawer monitoring, and daily reconciliations. Remove security tags, bag merchandise, and inspect returned items for damages while ensuring compliance with safety standards and housekeeping protocols. Monitor store entrances for alarms and detect signs of shoplifting or theft, promptly communicating risks to management. Operate store equipment including cash recyclers, CCTV systems, and power tools as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
