Job Summary
Part-time Head Cashier at Lowe's responsible for delivering SMART customer service, operating cash registers to process transactions, assisting customers with locating and selecting merchandise, answering questions, and guiding them through projects. The role includes coaching and training associates, price matching and information on stock, special orders, warranties, and Lowe's programs; handling customer orders and loading tickets, ensuring register functionality and daily reconciliations, maintaining store cleanliness and safety, monitoring for shoplifting, and supporting store operations and safety programs. The position supports front-end operations, assists with coverage across registers, and may involve supervisory responsibilities and potential career growth within the store.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience
- 1 Year Retail cashier experience
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology such as smartphones/tablets
- 1 Year Supervisory experience (preferred)
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs (preferred)
