Job Summary
Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register while providing SMART customer service and coaching associates on departmental duties. Assist customers with locating and loading merchandise, verify price matches, and manage register reconciliation and cash drawer counts. Monitor store security by inspecting merchandise for damages, detecting shoplifting signs, and responding to alarm triggers. Maintain a safe work environment through daily safety reviews, hazard reporting, and equipment operation as needed. Complete assigned tasks including order entry, stock usage logging, and ensuring compliance with housekeeping and security protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
