Job Summary
Conduct daily customer service by executing Lowe's policies, locating merchandise, and coaching front-end associates on sales opportunities. Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds while managing cash registers, drawers, and recycler levels to ensure compliance with limit requirements. Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise for customers, assisting with line vesting to optimize checkout times. Inspect returned items for damage, enter orders, and verify price matches against competitor data. Monitor store entrances for alarms, detect shoplifting signs, and report security risks to management. Maintain a safe environment by conducting safety reviews, clearing hazards, and operating store equipment as needed. Complete daily register area preparation and stock replenishment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
