Job Summary
Execute daily cashier duties by processing sales, returns, and refunds while managing cash drawers and performing reconciliations. Assist customers by locating merchandise, explaining features and warranties, and handling price matches. Train associates on departmental tasks and sales opportunities, then monitor security risks and shoplifting signs to ensure store safety. Verify product information, remove tags, bag items, and maintain register areas and general housekeeping standards. Operate store equipment as needed and submit customer orders. Complete required sales licensure and adhere to all safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
