Job Summary
Greet customers upon entry and exit, engage in personalized conversations while scanning every item and ensuring proper payment. Treat merchandise with care, bag purchases efficiently, and promote the Scheels Visa card benefits. Process firearm returns and exchanges, complete background checks, and assist with Gun Room housekeeping while strictly adhering to ATF federal laws. Execute technology-based processes for firearm and suppressor transactions. End every transaction with a thank you. Maintain a team-first mentality and uphold integrity in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to execute technology-based processes for firearm and/or suppressor transactions
- Complete firearm background checks
