Job Summary
Accurately pick and pack merchandise, scan orders using RF guns or computers, and secure labels onto parcels. Stack packages to pallets or large boxes, assemble order sets and kits, and process online returns by opening packages, verifying customer details, and determining quality ratings. Sort returned merchandise by client or SKU, return first-quality items to inventory, and follow client requests for damaged goods. Check manifest scales, scan barcodes, and key data into systems if scanners fail. Assist with physical inventories, train temporary employees, and act as a subject matter expert during peak periods while maintaining a clean work area and complying with safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand label placement on retail shipments
- Ability to read and comprehend all necessary work transactions, including customer return notes if necessary
- Ability to communicate effectively with leads, supervisors and coworkers
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Detail Oriented
- Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Basic computer skills
- The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, 8 or more hours
- The ability to use hands to pick up objects and operate tools or controls and reach with hands
- The ability to bend or stoop at knees or waist; twist at waist to retrieve item
- The ability to use written source of information to key data into system
- The ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and team lifts parcels weighing more than 30 pounds
- Activities requiring sustained concentration when performing data entry functions
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus
