Job Summary
Offload parts from racks based on the Paint Line Schedule, pack and skid accurately, and perform quality checks including Mil Thickness and Gloss tests. Inspect parts for defects such as contamination, heavy or light paint, and alert Team Leads of non-conformances. Assist with pre-racking, complete work documentation, and fill out scrap tags. Fasten parts together, conduct quality inspections, and pack completed items according to work instructions. Perform month-end inventory of completed and in-process parts and rework parts as required. Work at different stations based on production needs, maintain organization, and look for ways to improve line capacity and quality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Is trained in and follows Company safety policies and procedures
