Job Summary
Conduct major clean-up, sanitizing, and equipment set-up for all plant production lines while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety requirements. Operate power cleaning and sanitizing equipment, fill out required paperwork, and perform moderate to heavy lifting in wet, humid conditions. Wear designated Personal Protective Equipment including safety shoes, hard hats, and respiratory protection as needed. Monitor and react to Food Safety and Quality Requirements while following OSHA safety guidelines. Work Saturday nights starting at 7pm with flexibility to adjust shift hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must be able to operate power cleaning and sanitizing equipment
- Must be physically capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting
- Must be able to use proper lifting techniques and maintain a safe work environment
- Must be willing to learn new process systems as they evolve
- Must be able to work in wet and humid conditions
- Must be flexible to work different shift hours as needed
- Must be able to work around ammonia systems, acid systems, steam systems, high voltage and know the safeguards against being accidentally exposed to fumes, live steam and/or shock
- Must be able to wear safety shoes, hairnet, and hard hat at all times
- Must be able to wear gloves, goggles, face shield, ear protection, and/or gas mask as the need arises
- Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based
