Job Summary
Assist with logistics, including ordering, cleaning, and distribution of equipment while maintaining accurate inventory counts. Schedule and conduct new employee orientation sessions, administer compliance training, and process onboarding paperwork. Work with the Regional Recruitment Manager to evaluate hiring needs, process applicants via iCIMS, and schedule interviews. Build job orders into scheduling systems and confirm supervision and team members for events, ensuring all positions are staffed with qualified, licensed personnel. Immediately communicate with the Branch Manager regarding shortages, scheduling failures, or personnel concerns. Coordinate with payroll for changes and manage various administrative duties assigned by Branch management, Recruiting, or Human Resources. This paid internship supports event operations and account-level functions for Allied Universal Event Services in West Lafayette, IN, with potential for ongoing work.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent organizational skills that include the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
- Able to focus and multi-task in an ever-changing environment; successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
- Able to effectively manage multiple interactions with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels
- Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Sports Management, Hospitality, Security Management, or a closely related field either completed or in progress
- Prior event operations experience, customer service, human resources, recruiting, scheduling or logistics experience in a service industry business
- Work experience conducting applicant sourcing, interviewing job applicants, and conducting employee onboarding in a high volume setting
