Part-Time Funeral Assistant at Sol Levinson & Bros. in the Baltimore area. Responsibilities include preparing facilities for funerals, driving limousines and hearses, picking up and transporting decedents, delivering and picking up shiva equipment, directing mourners, lining up cars for processions, vehicle cleaning and maintenance, securing death certificates or burial/transit permits, running errands, snow removal, assisting in maintenance tasks, taking death-call information, answering phones, assisting in training of new employees in the Operations unit, and representing the firm professionally within the community. Strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and providing dignified service to families; requires occasional holiday coverage and on-call availability, with a valid driver's license and the ability to lift heavy objects and endure standing for long periods.
