Part-Time French Teacher/Tutor

Job Summary
Teach up to three students daily in interactive French sessions, guiding them through provided curriculum and academic study skills in small group settings. Deliver instruction both online and in-person while maintaining friendly, professional communication and filling out post-lesson notes and daily student updates. Work evenings Monday through Friday and select Saturdays, with a preference for term-long commitment through June. Candidates must reside near Oakville, pass vulnerable sector screening, and hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent tutoring certification. Required Qualifications
- Strong background in spoken and written French and English
- Comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level
- Ability to instruct class sessions in French
- Vulnerable sector screening
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Reliable
- Commute to the Oakville location
- Reside in or within a short commute of the Oakville area
Desired Qualifications

- Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
