Job Summary
Perform food preparation according to departmental standards while following ServSafe guidelines and uniform dress code. Manage inventory and stocking systems to ensure supplies are properly stored, and participate in setup, service, and breakdown of work areas for restaurants, the all-you-care-to-eat facility, and scratch bakery. Clear remaining items, wash dishes as needed, and maintain cash registers for cash, credit card, and University ID transactions. Work flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts as Dining Services needs dictate, with a maximum of 29 hours per week at $17.75–$18.10 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- ServSafe certification
- Ability to acquire ServSafe certification within a year of employment date
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions and provide responses in writing
- Ability to use computers to read and respond to emails
- Ability to use basic computer applications
- Commitment to following departmental standards and guidelines to ensure the safety of self and others
- Ability to pass an extensive background check
- Ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts
- Ability to work part-time hours
- Ability to work non-benefit eligible position
