Job Summary
Lead and coordinate front-of-house food service operations at the Toledo Zoo, supervising Food Service Associates, training staff, developing recognition programs, and leading setup and execution of daily and future events. Prepare necessary equipment, monitor inventory needs, and ensure sanitation standards are exceeded. Works part-time under limited supervision in outdoors environmental conditions; may involve weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Prefer 1-2 years of experience in food service supervision or equivalent
- Certification in food service sanitation a plus
- Candidates must be able to take direction, work independently and multi-task
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be outdoors for several hours at a time
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured through Zoo fleet carrier
