Job Summary
Deliver food and beverages to guest tables with proper presentation while maintaining product and allergen knowledge. Prepare tables by setting linens, silverware, and glassware, then verify dishware availability before each course. Communicate clearly between front and back of house staff, remove dirty dishes to the kitchen, and stock dining supplies. Respond immediately to guest comments or concerns by informing the supervisor and applying corrective measures. This part-time role supports La Condesa's commitment to sustainability and local sourcing within Austin's 2nd Street District.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- state-issued food handling certification
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to speak effectively before guests and groups of co-workers
