Job Summary
Floater Teacher provides classroom support across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, assisting with activities, routines, supervision, and daily care. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and engaging learning environment; supporting feeding, diapering, toileting, meals, and transitions; building positive relationships with children, families, and team members; following licensing requirements and center procedures; and adapting to different classrooms throughout the day based on staffing and operational needs. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are required to effectively support multiple age groups in a fast-paced center setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) the free 15-hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification before orientation
- Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience working with young children is preferred
- Availability Monday through Friday for varying part-time schedules
- Flexibility to work with multiple age groups and adapt quickly to changing classroom assignments
- A patient, positive, and energetic approach to working with children
