Job Summary
Floater Teacher needed to provide classroom support across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. Responsibilities include assisting teachers with activities, routines, supervision, maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment, supporting daily care routines (feeding, diapering, toileting, meals), and transitioning between classrooms based on staffing needs. Must build positive relationships with children and families, follow center procedures and licensing requirements, and adapt to varying schedules. Ideal candidates have experience with young children, comfort with multiple age groups (6 weeks to 5 years), strong communication and teamwork skills, dependable attendance, and the ability to work varying part-time shifts Monday–Friday. Certifications required or willing to obtain: South Carolina Health & Safety Certification (15-hour) and First Aid/CPR.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) the free 15-hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification before orientation
- Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work with multiple age groups (infant–preschool)
- Ability to maintain professionalism and consistency while supporting different teaching teams
