Job Summary
Create a fun and safe learning environment for elementary-aged children during afternoon after-school programs and teacher workdays. Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, educational opportunities, and fun time. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents while communicating their growth and progress. Maintain the health and safety of all students. Additionally, help-float in other younger age classrooms during the morning with lunch breaks and activities as needed. This role supports our commitment to providing comprehensive care for children throughout the day.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- High School/GED
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred (CDA,TCC and/or work experience considered)
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanour
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
